Renovation TimeLine

July 2 – The roof is shingled, it looks amazing!

June 17 – It may not look like much is being done, but there is a lot of work going on.

June 5 – A major part of the roof has been shingled.  The wall dividing the existing building and the addition has mostly been removed.  A few windows have been temporarily put in place.  It was a big clean up day and things look much better!  Thanks everyone.

June 1 – The roof is stripped of shingles, tar paper and thousands of nails.

May 21 – All of the trusses have been put in place for the new fellowship space.  The old main entrance has been removed and the roof line has been fixed.  We are currently waiting on BC Hydro to move the power lines to the new location so the addition roof can be connected to the existing building.

May 13 – There have been many changes since the last update.  Everything has been back filled, the addition has been framed and partly sheathed.  The trusses have arrived and are being put in place.  The floor has been cut up to allow for the new plumbing.

April 19 – The concrete forms are all stripped off and getting prepared for back filling on Wednesday.

April 10 – A very productive day hauling loads of drywall to the dump.  Most of the interior walls are gone, and the old electrical is being removed.

The foundation walls are being framed.

The interior is getting cleared out.  Most of the drywall has been pulled down, along with some of the interior walls!

March 29 – The footings have been poured!

March 13 – Ready to start digging on the 17th!    And the pastor has moved out, the tractor has moved in.

Down comes the stucco and cedar siding!  What a beautiful spring day to be working on this!

Two reasons for praise!

  • Our property is officially subdivided!  We can finish the sale of the lot!
  • Our building permit is ready!  Our official project start date is March 15 !!

The storage containers are here and filled right up.  The building is looking pretty empty!

Signing off the paperwork for subdividing the lot.  Now to wait for the city to sign off and register the new lot as it’s own title.  This is also required so we can get our building permit.

Rezoning of the lot has received final approval from the city!

Rezoning went through public hearing.  Only 1 more city council meeting to get C-6 zoning finalized!
